Commercial Litigation
Our track record speaks for itself: we have recovered billions of dollars of value for clients who have been the victim of fraud, negligence and malfeasance, often in complex cross-border litigation involving significant investigation.
As with all litigation, it is crucial to identify the client’s commercial objectives and to pursue any action vigorously.
This requires experienced commercial litigators working together with the necessary support to present a case effectively and let the court “see the wood for the trees”.
Cases
- We have carried out hard-fought and complex commercial litigation both in the BVI Commercial Court and also before the courts of Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
- We have managed and supported complex litigation overseas in jurisdictions including the Cayman Islands, Toronto, Miami, New York and Brazil.
- Other cases include Nissan Motor Vehicles vs. ex- CEO Carlos Ghosn, a $200 million worldwide asset recovery case.
- We are also working on a significant receivership in Antigua concerning a “billionaire holiday resort”.
- In addition, our cases include a succession dispute within a family following the death of a billionaire.
- Finally, another succession dispute involves the alleged misappropriation by trustees of assets from a family trust, following the sudden death of the settlor.
